Mixed Abilities Pilates Class

Tuesday 6.30pm. new courses start 23rd January 2024

Class is suitable for all levels – including those of you with pelvic floor problems, and anyone with aches or pains! I can modify or progress every exercise to suit each client. Based on the level of my current group I often incorporate a low impact HIIT session into the class to increase fitness and introduce a little impact and more intense strength training to the traditional pilates. This further helps the body cope with the demands we put on it in our daily lives and builds us up for more demanding workouts or running in the future!

If you can’t make the live class, and even if you do, I will send a link to the recording of the class which you can watch and join in at a time that suits.

Pelvic floor friendly classes

friday morning 7am. new course starts on 26th January 2024

This class is specifically designed for those who have recently had a baby, or who have recently had gynae surgery and want to get back to exercise safely, building their strength week on week. It’s also suitable if you are experiencing pelvic floor problems and are perhaps awaiting surgery – improving your pelvic floor and core is the best foundation for a strong and happy body!

8 WEEK PROGRAMME – €80.00

INTERMEDIATE / DYNAMIC PILATES

(formally known as pilates for sports / runners)
TUESDAY 7PM. NEW COURSES START 9th May 2023
Suitable for those who have done pilates before and want a more challenging work out.  Combining dynamic strength, control and mobility work.  This is very complimentary to training for sports and for runners.  
As a stand alone class, it is a great way to build your confidence, strength and fitness in anticipation of getting back to higher level activity after a period of absence due to injury, pregnancy or post surgery.  A stepping stone to being ‘back to normal.’

Once you have completed this course you will feel confident to go back to ‘normal classes’ in the gym armed with the knowledge of how to treat your body.

Back care pilates class

Wednesday 6pm. new courses start 10th May 2023

Our NEW PILATES CLASS has been developed to address back pain using multiple approaches, including: core muscle strength, spine stability and mobilisation, balance, posture improvement, and also targeting related areas of the body such as the shoulders, neck, and hips. As a result, this course offers a holistic approach to back pain relief and prevention in line with core clinical Pilates values. These exercises don’t just relieve pain but also help prevent future issues because they strengthen and tone the body for a healthier lifestyle.

POST OP PILATES

ONLINE CLASSES READY TO WATCH & DOWNLOAD

These classes are specifically designed for those who have recently (more than 6 weeks ago) had gynae surgery, or who have recently had a baby and want to get back to exercise safely, building their strength week on week. It’s also suitable if you are experiencing pelvic floor problems and are perhaps awaiting surgery – improving your pelvic floor and core is the best foundation for a strong and happy body!

We recommend you have had your six week check up with your doctor before commencing and we also strongly recommend every women with pelvic floor concerns see a Pelvic Health Physiotherapist for a full assessment. The course is suitable for complete new comers to pilates.

4 WEEK PROGRAMME – €60.00

Pilates for runners

4 Online Classes Ready for downloading + a bonus video
If you are a runner and you wish to prevent injury and enhance your performance, Pilates is a great place to start.
This course of classes is designed to work on flexibility and control and progressively strengthen helping you with managing the impact of running.  
 
I always have the pelvic floor in mind, so this course is particularly helpful for anyone who is experiencing stress incontinence when they’re running. 
 
By investing in this course, you will get four full classes of Pilates +1 bonus video of exercises that you can do with a gym ball – just to add a little adventure to your exercise routine! 
 
Classes are pre-recorded and can be completed in your own time and you have lifetime access.
